Hands holding a globe

25 Jul 2022

By Yu-Han Chen

We are pleased to announce that Bedrock Learning is now officially an affiliate partner of FOBISIA, the Federation of British International Schools in Asia.

What is FOBISIA?

FOBISIA is one of the leading federations in Asia supporting high-quality international education, creating value for its members through shared professional development, student enrichment and mutual support among 91 member schools in 18 countries.

The FOBISIA family is a diverse and inclusive community, and it ensures the member schools meet the highest standards of professional conduct. FOBISIA demonstrates its commitment to first-rate international education through accreditation by leading institutions.

Bedrock Learning currently works with schools across several countries in Asia including Thailand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, China, Brunei, and Vietnam. Our digital literacy curriculum is aligned to the UK, IB and Cambridge curricula among others, with human-narrated content making it perfect for supporting EAL learners’ pronunciation.

Results of a recent study indicate that EAL learners made a 41% improvement in their vocabulary using our learning resources. We’re proud to offer our curriculum to English learners around the world, and proud of the impact it is making to their outcomes.

What next?

As a new FOBISIA affiliate member, we’re excited to have more opportunities to work closely with FOBISIA members in the future. Through this partnership, more learners in Asia will benefit from our comprehensive digital literacy curriculum. Bedrock’s partnership with FOBISIA comes alongside relationships with other international school associations, including COBIS (Council of British International Schools) and BSME (British Schools in the Middle East).

We look forward to partnering with more international organisations to expand our community, helping to accomplish our mission of building impactful EdTech that has a transformative effect on learner outcomes.
