LGBTQ+ Pride literacy activity pack

June is LGBTQ+ Pride month, a great time to celebrate LGBTQ+ figures from history and in our community.

We have brought together just some of the brilliant LGBTQ+ icons of literacy - including writers, poets, activists, public speakers, actors and directors - to create a series of classroom activities to support you in enriching the cultural capital of your learners this Pride month.

Each LGBTQ+ icon is explored through rich Tier 2 vocabulary. This knowledge is consolidated through four differentiated writing tasks, promoting reading comprehension, empathy, problem solving skills and creative writing skills. New ambitious vocabulary is supported by our keyword glossary.
